Al Franken finally takes his seat in the Senate

It's about time. Norm Coleman finally gave up on his fruitless attempt to undermine the will of the voters in Minnesota and conceded. He and his G.O.P. friends in Minnesota felt it was perfectly acceptable for their people to be under-represented for 6 months if it obstructed progress and undermined the president's agenda.I hope the voters remember this the next time he seeks office.
Al Franken is a very smart and funny guy. He does not mince words when explaining his positions and is hilarious in his concise observations of the issiues. I believe he is just what our govornment needs. Humor does not lie.
He will be hard pressed to get more laughs than Mark Sanford. Another hypochrite bites the dust.
My sincere hope is the Dems will set aside their waffling ways and push forward the president's agenda. Still, all this time after the election all the G.O.P. has to offer are the same policies that led to the excessive failures that our country finds itself in.
I hope our country realizes too, It takes alot more money to re-build a house than it does to burn it down.
Debt sucks but Obama didnt create the problems. He is tryng to solve them.

  1. Hmmm...So that explains how in many precincts, there were more votes counted than people that were registered to vote in this election...???

Sen. Stuart Smalley??? C'mon Danny! You can't lean that far left without falling over. Your Obama is going to tax us back into the stone age if left unchecked. How can you support a party whose members haven't even read the legislation they're signing off on? Meanwhile there's nothing in that stimulus package to create jobs. We'll have this conversation again in a couple of years and you'll see. Change was needed. Change for the sake of change is idiocy.

  2. When You have time, do a little homework:

    1) Why did the "new" EPA hide a 98 page document showing that global CO2 concentrations have actually decreased, negating the sweeping changes that Obama and Co. want to enact with the cap in trade bill currently going to the senate?
Remember, this is the bill that barely passed the house (with the help of republicans) that would create higher taxes and increases in utility payments, higher food costs, higher costs all around. EPA officials buried the report stating that there was nothing in the report that would enhance or support the presidents agenda on the current bill. (WTF?) What about the truth? That would be nice.

Do you know that buried within "Cap in Trade" are thousands of pieces of legislation, including one that would force you to get an EPA Inspection to sell your own house? Yep, if you're not "Green" enough, you can't sell...

    2) Look up HR 45, Obama's National Gun Registry and Citizen Disarmament Act. Yes, he's coming after YOUR guns too. It requires law-abiding citizens to pass a written examination, release medical records, submit to a two-day waiting period and pay of fee of $25 to own a firearm. How can they do this without stepping all over The Constitution?

Between Govenment Health Care, the nationalizing of banks and the passing of the largest tax increase in American history under the guise of climate change, we are giving up our freedoms daily to a "government" that thinks it knows what's better for us than we do. Obama was elected by blind sheep, who live on sound bytes and vote accordingly. They bought into "Hope" and "Change", without any questions of substance. The "prophet of hope" now doesn't even bother with explanations when he reneges on his campaign promises.

In his first year in office he's broken all or part of every campaign promise that got him elected, and the country isn't holding him accountable. From his pledge to not raise taxes on the middle class to promising a new "transparency" in the White House, it's evident that he was willing to say anything it took to get elected. You need to break free of this 2-party way of thinking. Research the candidates and their platform, then support the ones that will represent you best, regardless of party.
