Know when to say when.

Since the election there has been much in the news about the GOP in exile. I'm not too tore up about that, but i have noticed something. The statements and policies that led to this exile are what they continue to endorse and exalt. I believe the reason McCain lost was he offered nothing different than the previous administration.
This is still the case.
I think the GOP would be better served to set aside their current tack of obstuctionism and continuation of the same old rhetoric and just shut the hell up.
It is like watching Miss Teen South Carolina just digging herself in deeper and deeper.
I like it, But it's kinda like watching a drunk chick's boob fall out.Funny , but creepy.
Find something the American poeple can wrap their mind around and get back to us.

  1. Danny, it's easy for you to gloat now. But when "your party" was running Dukakis out there, or even that idiot Al Gore, the Dem party was an embarrassment of raving liberals and catered to special interests. Nothing's changed.

The conservatives and especially the Evangelical Christians were disappointed in Bush 43. It's already come out that the hardcore liberals aren't satisfied with Obama. His "honeymoon" will last a lot longer than usual, but if the economy hasn't shown significant improvement by the mid-term elections, look for the GOP to regain strength in the House & Senate in a year and a half.

The two party system has failed us since Reagan. The last legit 3rd party candidate (Perot) stole enough votes from Bush 41 to elect Clinton. I don't believe either party has my best interest at heart. I'm a Civil Libertarian at heart, but I'm fiscally conservative. People forget, "WE are the government". ("We the people...") My country continues to put me further in debt. Our Founding Fathers were very specific about the responsibilities of government, and it's not reflected in Washington by either party today.

WE can't continue to spend billions of dollars on programs that were proven not to work 60 years ago. (And with no way to pay for them.) "Your party" is spewing the same bile you accuse the GOP of, they just happen to be in power at the moment. We need to shrink government, not grow it. We need lower taxes, to allow small businesses to thrive. And most of all, we need term limits. When this nation was founded, men would go to Washington to serve, then return to their industry. Professional polititicians that spend 40-50 years on the hill get re-elected over and again because they bring the pork home to their constituents, not because they represent or serve US. I don't vote straight down party lines for that reason. I research the candidates and vote for the one that represents my interests and values the best.

Crow while you can, brother. I made more money than I've ever made in my life while Clinton was in office. Meanwhile our country became unsafe from terrorist attacks. I'm not saying the next great leader will come from the GOP. There are a handful of interesting guys like Romney, but I'm not sold on anyone for 2012. But for you to chastise the GOP for sticking to their guns is funny. Obama talks of "Change", but so far it's business as usual, just more of it.

  2. Whoa, I am not gloating. I am not a democrat either. I vote on issiues.I also support whomever is in power at a given time. Without our support nothing gets done. My problem with the GOP is they offer no substantive solutions for the problems they by and large placed our country in. I am quite disappointed with some of Obama's actions . He has failed to address campaign promises related to gay and lesbian issiues. He promised to vigorously investigate torture. I could go on. Obama will suffer the same slings and arrows if he misleads. This is a lesser of 2 evils thing. The dems have their own weaknesses. Compared to the corrupt, self serving administration before them they are certainly the least of evils.I would much rather see health care for all, climate change programs, Education improvements as opposed to billions of dollars of no bid contracts for Halliburton and Blackwater. If we are to be taxed to this degree I would rather see some modest good for the many, as opposed to an exorbinate amount of benefit to the few, Who honestly don't need it.
